Sustainable fashion – how the fashion industry can change the environmenter Międzynarodowe
Our project "Sustainable fashion – how the fashion industry can change the environment" aimed to educate participants about the impacts of fast fashion and to explore sustainable alternatives. Through this initiative, participants engaged in workshops on sustainable materials, design techniques, and the principles of eco-friendly fashion. They participated in stimulating discussions, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative design challenges, encouraging innovation and practical application of sustainable fashion practices.
The project was targeted at young people aged 18-29 from Poland, Greece, Spain, Italy and Romania. It aimed to raise awareness about fast fashion and its consequences, promote sustainable practices, and foster cross-cultural exchange.
Results
Participants learned about the fast fashion industry and its environmental and social impacts through interactive workshops focused on sustainable materials, design techniques, and eco-friendly fashion principles. Engaging discussions and brainstorming sessions facilitated the exchange of ideas and innovative solutions. Participants took part in collaborative design challenges to apply sustainable fashion practices in real-world scenarios. Practical workshops provided opportunities to improve language skills while participants met new people, shared experiences, and fostered cross-cultural understanding. They also created educational films documenting their learnings and experiences on sustainable fashion. The project culminated in the design and creation of sustainable outfits, which were showcased in a fashion show.
